Ages 4–14

Kids Jiu Jitsu

Two age groups so a four year old is never on the mat with a fourteen year old. We build confidence, listening, and the instincts to handle themselves, taught in a way that keeps it fun.

A class, start to finish

Learn it, roll it,
high-five

Every kids class follows the same rhythm. One technique taught step by step and drilled with a partner, a chance to try it for real in a roll, then high-fives on the way out. Kids know what’s coming, which is exactly what helps nervous ones settle in.

Drilling with a partner — one technique at a time
Rolling — working for position, tapping, going again
High-fives on the way off the mat

Inside a kids class

Confidence, one
stripe at a time

Kids don't just learn moves here. They learn to line up, listen, wait their turn and have a go at something hard in front of their friends. Every stripe on their belt is something they worked for — and they know it.

Kids Jiu Jitsu students lined up in their gis in front of the Mentality wall
Lined up and proud — every stripe on those belts was earned on the mat

Watching the demo — learning to sit still and listen is part of the lesson
